A very rare pewter tankard from the second half of the 16th century, featuring a striking dark excavation patina. This remarkable find bears a mark of a crowned Tudor rose, with only a visible capital ‘H’ or possibly ‘II.’ Pewter tankards like this were primarily used at sea, making many of them lost to time. This discovery is truly exceptional! The condition of the tankard is very good, with a small restoration.
